About the Instructor - Lynn Nilssen

Lynn is a certified REBAC instructor for the NAR Green designation and a (Florida Green Building Coalition) FGBC Certifying Agent. As an agent, Lynn is qualified to guide designers, builders and owners through the process of certifying and documenting green homes.

The instructor is also a Realtor with a practice specializing in sustainable real estate. For buyers, she identify green properties or suitable infill sites for sustainable retrofit or rebuild. For sellers, she identify green features to enhance marketability for resale.

Lynn is a founding member of the Green Realtors Alliance of Sarasota, whose goal is to educate other Realtors, clients, and the public about the benefits of sustainable real estate.

Lynn is a Master Conservationist at the Florida House Learning Center. The Florida House was built in 1995 as a public demonstration project showcasing earth-friendly conservation technology and design. To qualify for Master Conservationist, she completed an in-depth course and passed an exam designed by the University of Florida IFAS. As a Master Conservationist, Lynn conducts educational tours of the house and provide answers and information on topics ranging from water conservation, energy efficiency, building durability to sustainable building methods and materials.
